Steven Warwick lines up a “cybernetic poem”.

Heatsick, the Casio virtuoso whose lo-fi tropical house has been baffling and delighting us in equal measure lately, has announced a new album for Bill Kouligas’ always-on-point PAN label.

Titled Re-Engineering, the record is billed as a “cybernetic poem” inspired equally by disco gods Chic, art provocateur Malcom McLaren and surreal satirist Chris Morris.

Due out on November 29, the LP has been mastered and cut at Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin and comes on 140g vinyl in a silk-screened PVC sleeve featuring artwork by Kouligas and Heatsick himself – check it out below.

The Berlin-based, British-born keyboard hero recently shared the audio of his improvised 40-minute PAN_ACT live set – essential listening in advance of the new album. He’s also got a bunch of live dates coming up, including a show in Bristol with Shangaan Electro and an appearance in Rio de Janeiro alongside Lee Gamble and Miles Whittaker.
