Darkside show off their live set-up in London.

Slow-house producer Nicolas Jaar and multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington were invited to Maida Vale studios this week to perform material from their new album, Psychic, as part of a residency for Radio 1 DJ Heidi.

The clip for ‘Freak, Go Home’ gets up close and personal with the duo’s unusual live set-up, which pairs Harrington’s fidgety guitar lines with Jaar’s laptop, keyboards, analogue gear and brooding baritone.

FACT’s Maya Kalev inspected Psychic earlier this month and deemed it “brimming with ideas, instruments, sounds and influences that, against all logic, actually work.” Earlier this year Jaar donned his remix hat to deliver a complete reworking of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.
