Japanese instrumental hip-hop vanguard DJ Krush is geared up to perform at London’s Koko on January 4, and it’s a timely appearance.

While the producer’s finest moments peppered the 90s/00s landscape in the Mowax era, his sound has gone from strength to strength, acting as the touchstone for more recent producers such as Flying Lotus and the wider Brainfeeder crew. He’s not appearing alone either, scene champions DJ Cam and Russia’s DJ Vadim will also be appearing, so if you get as sweaty around the brow as us over rugged golden-age inspired beatplay, then you know what to do.
