Gunplay calls in Rick Ross and Lil Wayne on smoker's anthem 'Kush' – listen

The Maybach Music madman tries to take it easy with a laidback smoking song.

Gunplay has hauled in his label boss Rick Ross and Lil Wayne for a brand new track, possibly set to feature on his forthcoming debut LP. Built around a sample of Wayne’s “Mary Jane flowers” line on Birdman’s 2009 hit ‘Money To Blow’, ‘Kush’ is packed with twisted weed metaphors, organ blasts and several faintly ridiculous lines, like Wayne’s “ride me like a turnpike”.

Back in June, Gunplay released his Acquitted mixtape, a reminder that he’s probably the most compelling member of Rick Ross’ MMG clique. The mixtape was set to be his last before his official debut album, currently titled Living Legend. [via Complex]

Today MMG revealed two new signings – DC rapper and FACT favourite Fat Trel, and Atlanta’s Tracy T.

The new single is out tomorrow on iTunes. Hear ‘Kush’ below:
