The Black Dog and Happa team up for final release in Bleep's Green Series

The masters of bleep have been recruited by, well, Bleep.

Bleep’s Green Series is four releases deep, and has developed a recognisable modus operandi: a 12″ with an artist on each side, bundled with stylish photography from Shaun Bloodworth and die-cut green packaging. Among the more interesting parings were The Analogue Cops sharing a disc with Karenn, Objekt pairing up with Cosmin TRG, with Marcel Dettmann / Lucy and Redshape / Steffi platters rounding out the series to date.

It’s a real case of veterans meeting nipper on the final instalment of the series. The A-side comes from Warp mainstays (and recent hardware entrepreneurs) The Black Dog, and is a glowering piece of moody techno. The B-Side, meanwhile, comes from prodigious house producer Happa, whose brutish, scruffy techno releases for Church and Boomkat Editions suggests an old head on young shoulders (he’s barely nudging 17).
