Members of TV on the Radio, Interpol, The Rapture and more sign up for Yellow Dogs memorial benefit show

Brooklyn’s indie scene comes out in the wake of tragedy.

Still reeling from the murder-suicide that claimed two members and an associate of Iranian rock band The Yellow Dogs, members of Brooklyn’s music scene will come together for a “Special Memorial Evening / Fundraiser” on Monday, November 18 at the Brooklyn Bowl.

The event will feature performances by TV on the Radio’s Kyp Malone, DJ sets by Interpol’s Paul Banks, DFA’s Sinkane and The Rapture’s Vito & Druzzi, and more. Tickets are available now.

Earlier this week, FACT’s Arron Merat, who has spent much of the last year stationed in Iran, has investigated the reaction to the slayings in the band’s native country. [via]
