Optimo man JD Twitch’s buoyant rework of Jeremy Deller’s ‘Voodoo Ray’ – a considerable hit with the panel in the FACT Singles Club – has now got a video.

Deller’s cover of A Guy Called Gerald’s 1988 acid house classic first emerged on his English Magic EP, put out by The Vinyl Factory earlier this year. Twitch’s edit adds some piano hardcore energy to the steel drum-heavy original, and the video offers a glimpse into the process behind Deller’s curious appropriative creations.

A 12″ of the remix (featuring vocal, instrumental and bonus beats versions) is out now through The Vinyl Factory and can be pre-ordered here. A digital version will follow on November 18. You can read FACT’s politically charged 2013 interview with JD Twitch here, and our recent natter with A Guy Called Gerald here.
