Weird World signing Jaakko Eino Kalevi moulds lavish psych-pop on 'When You Walk Through Them All'

For fans of Connan Mockasin and Peaking Lights.

Helsinki dreamer and part-time tram driver Jaakko Eino Kalevi cooks up a heady brew of grooving psychedelia, velvety-smooth saxophone and gothic vocals on ‘When You Walk Through Them All’, the second single from his forthcoming Dreamzone EP.

Recently signed to Weird World (the Domino sublabel that’s put out some very fine records by How To Dress Well, Hookworms and the aforementioned Peaking Lights over the past year or so), Kalevi plays, sings and produces all his own material and has been putting out music on local labels for the past few years, building up a cult following at home.

The Finn is in London tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 26) to play a free show at Servant’s Jazz Quarters before another gig at The Lexington on November 28. The Dreamzone EP is set for release through Weird World on December 2.
