The Icelandic post-rockers get in on the limited edition reissue game.

Sigur Rós has reissued their XL Records debut LP Kveikur as a limited edition, 12″ vinyl boxset. Each of the 1,000 sets will include one record for each of the album’s nine songs, with instrumentals on the B-side — the first time the band has released an instrumental version of their album. The instrumental ‘var’ comes backed with a special etching.

The hard box features screen-printed artwork by Sigga Björg Sigurðardóttir, and one of the inserts is autographed by the band. A video teaser for the individually-numbered boxset release is below; it comes on the heels of a similar release by The xx.
