The masked one introduces two mystery guests.

Zomby has unveiled the second release on his Cult Music imprint following the reissue of his now-classic Where Were U In ’92 LP.

Play Fights/The Two Halves is a split 12″ from Forever Forever and Prayer, two hitherto unknown names who we’d wager are on very close terms indeed with their enigmatic label boss.

The romantic A-side pairs fluttering drums with a vocal sample chopped and tweaked into a heartbroken whisper, while on the flip you get an eyes-down wander through syrupy ambient synth pads and echo chambered voices. If not from the same producer, they certainly sound very closely related. Hear snippets on Boomkat.

The 180g wax – mastered at Abbey Road – is out now, and includes a Cult Music sticker.

Zomby’s most recent album, With Love, came out on 4AD in June. Last month, Warp trio Darkstar released a pair of remix EPs featuring a dancefloor-oriented reimagining of ‘You Don’t Need A Weatherman’ credited to the mysterious Kollaps via Zomby and Cult Music.
