Death Waltz look to continue their estimable 2013 run with a pair of quirky B-movie scores for the New Year.

The horror-obsessed imprint has now revealed plans to release Ralph Jones’ bizarre score to pioneering slasher classic Slumber Party Massacre and Susan Justin’s incredible synth-heavy accompaniment to low-budget 1982 Alien pastiche Forbidden World (aka Mutant).

Ralph Jones is the brother of Slumber Party Massacre director Amy Jones (who also directed Mystic Pizza – seriously), and they both contribute liner notes to the release. Susan Justin also contributes notes to her release, as does Forbidden World director Allan Holzman, and of course because it’s Death Waltz we’re talking about, both releases are blessed with incredible new artwork.

These scores come to us thanks to a partnership between legendary B-movie producer Roger Corman’s New Horizons and Death Waltz, and will be arriving in January on CD and LP. [via Exclaim]
