Northern duo Rainer Veil are back with a new EP of industrialized hardcore for the Modern Love imprint.

Last year’s subtle Struck emerged as a connoisseur’s choice, a low-key record that took you by surprise with its smoky, hazy mood and deft appropriation of techno tropes. Liam Morley and Dan Valentine are following up however with something more crushing and far more urgent.

Entitled New Brutalism, the new EP is set to drop on February 10, and finds the duo mining “blocky source material” to create a set of tracks that are both “robust” and “introverted.” Needless to say we’re quite excited about this one, and you can take a listen to Struck‘s disarming title track below.
