Coldcut's Matt Black gives away bundle of sounds made on his ultra-rare EMS VCS 4 synth

Analogue geeks stand by – here’s an unusual treat for your downloads folder.

Designed in 1969, the EMS VCS 4 synth is extremely rare – according to KitMonsters, there were just two prototypes and it never went into full-scale production.

One of those two is owned by Coldcut sample specialist and Ninja Tune boss Matt Black, who’s decided to give away a stack of sounds he created on the machine for the benefit of the billions who’ll never own one. Thanks Matt! Download the zip bundle by clicking here.
