Damon Albarn‘s forthcoming solo full-length Everyday Robots is due to drop in spring, and we’re gradually getting an idea of how it’s going to sound.

Albarn performed five of the songs last weekend at Utah’s Sundance Film Festival, and thankfully selections of the session have been recorded for us all to enjoy. This particular track is called ‘Lonely, Press Play’ and even in stripped down form (Albarn played acoustic guitar and was accompanied by a string trio) manages to make us rather itchy to hear the whole thing.

The final version is due to be produced by XL’s Richard Russell (who handled Gil Scott-Heron’s excellent swansong I’m New Here, and Bobby Womack’s acclaimed The Bravest Man in the Universe) and you can take a listen to Albarn’s live rendition below. [via NME]
