The Queensbridge legend marks the anniversary of his debut — and finest — album.

On April 15, Nas will release Illmatic XX, which includes a remasterd copy of the original album and a disc of remixes, demos and freestyles. In support, Nas will tour the U.S., performing Illmatic in its entirety; so far, only appearances at Washington, DC’s Kennedy Center and Coachella have been announced.

In addition, a feature-length documentary entitled Time Is Illmatic will be released. By first-time filmmakers One9 and Erik Parker, Time Is Illmatic explores the making of the classic album, from its social underpinnings to the legacy of Nas’ father, Olu Dara.

The tracklist for Illmatic XX is below; the rare Stink Mix of ‘It Ain’t Hard to Tell’ is streaming now over at Rap Genius. If this reissue seems a bit light, we’re sure there are copies of Get On Down’s deluxe reissue on the second-hand market.
