Genius one-take video with the chino-wearing pop stars.

French director Michel Gondry, whose golden touch has lit up videos by Daft Punk, Björk, The White Stripes and the like, has taken the reins on the latest promo for Metronomy.

The video for ‘Love Letters’, taken from the pristine pop quartet’s forthcoming album of the same name, sees the band performing the song inside a ring of hand-painted sets. It’s a sleek one-take effort that feels refreshingly handmade. And check out those maroon blazers.

Watch ‘Love Letters’ above. Fans of the band and the director can ask them questions via a Google Hangout hosted by Adam Buxton tomorrow  (Wednesday, February 12), which will be streamed on Metronomy’s YouTube channel from 5pm (GMT).

The band will headline this year’s Field Day festival in London this June alongside the likes of Danny Brown and Oneohtrix Point Never, while next month they’ll head out on their own tour of the UK.

Metronomy’s Joe Mount previously went On Record for FACT about his love for OutKast’s “ridiculously inspirational” double album Speakerboxx/The Love Below.
