Ahead of its release next week on Tri Angle Records, Evian Christ’s Waterfall EP is now available to stream via his website.

After turning heads with his breakthrough EP Kings And Them back in 2012, last year the producer born Joshua Leery was involved in the creation of Kanye West’s epic Yeezus, an experience that seems to have redirected his hip-hop influence towards an even more scuzzy and aggressive sound on Waterfall – post-Yeezus, you might say.

Recorded in his hometown of Ellesmere Port and in New York, the EP was mixed by Noah Rubin and mastered by Heba Kedry. ‘Propeller’, contains a sample of ‘Nine’ by his friend and affiliate producer, Lukid.

Waterfall is out on March 17 digitally and will be available on limited edition vinyl, featuring artwork by David Rudnick, on April 1. Stream it here.

To celebrate the release, the producer will be throwing a Trance Party at London’s Oval Space on March 21, featuring Travis Scott (live), Millie & Andrea (live), Lil Silva, Sophie (live), Powell and Mssingno. Tickets are on sale now.

He’s also heading out on tour across the UK and Europe with Mssingno – see the list of dates below.

FACT’s John Calvert caught up with Evian Christ last month to hear about Yeezus and why he “lives for rap”.
