Due to drop in April on the Hypercolour imprint, Ridmik is veteran knob fiddler Luke Vibert‘s latest excursion into synth worship.

It’s surprisingly restrained material too, and cooling down on the hyper-edited choppiness of his Plug material, Vibert slips on his smoking jacket and reclines for ‘Stabs of Regret’, one of Ridmik‘s clear standouts.

Anchored around a cycling drum machine beat and bathed in some of the producer’s most unashamedly lounge-y synthwork, it’s the perfect introduction to the album’s spiky retro-futurism, and you can hear the track in full below.
