Has Kanye West called off his European tour?

Promoter claims “production problems” have affected the continental jaunt.

After a run of European dates were revealed on ticketing websites this week, it looks as if Kanye West’s Yeezus tour may not cross the waters after all.

While there’s been no official statement yet, a German promoter has used his personal website to state that the tour has been affected by “production problems”.

A quick and dirty internet translation reads:

“The originally planned for the summer of 2014 Yeezus tour by Kanye West has finally been moved. Production problems were blamed for this decision. Advance ticket sales had not yet begun. At present there is not yet clear when the hip hop superstar will occur in Europe.”

The U.S. leg of the Yeezus tour was also beset by technical issues in its first weeks, with many early gigs postponed, so it seems likely that the hugely ambitious stage set-up is causing a headache for production managers.

If you’ve been on holiday in North Korea for the past fortnight, Kanye just got his Vogue cover. [via The 405]
