Peckham night Rhythm Section launches label offshoot with LP from Al Dobson Jr

Rhythm Section International kicks off with a locally sourced release.

DJ and promoter Bradley Zero has extended his Rhythm Section empire with a record label.

Rhythm Section International launches this spring with an album from South London producer Al Dobson Jr. Titled Rye Lane Volume 1, a reference to the clubnight’s location, the record’s 11 tracks also make reference to further-flung locales: ‘Peru Timing’, ‘Columbian Special’, ‘Cameroun Special’.

No release date has been set, but the album is expected before summer.

Zero has been running his Rhythm Section parties since 2009, attracting a cult following from dancers lured by its broad music policy, reliable residents and occasional big guests like Andy Blake and Funkineven. [via RA]
