Ab-Soul unveils 'Tree Of Life' from forthcoming LT3 mixtape

The Top Dawg regular shares a track from his latest sessions.

California rapper Ab-Soul is gearing up for his return with ‘Tree Of Life’, a moody, string-sampling track produced by Curtiss King and TDE’s in-house engineer MixedByAli.

‘Tree Of Life’ looks set to be included on the forthcoming third instalment of the Black Hippy member’s Longterm mixtape series. LT3 will be Ab-Soul’s first full-length release since 2012’s Control System, but in the meantime he’s been racking up guest appearances on tracks by Chance The Rapper, Mac Miller, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib – yeah, pretty much everyone who’s anyone.

Top Dawg boss Anthony Tiffith recently hinted at two major albums forthcoming from the indie label in 2014 –Kendrick Lamar’s follow-up to Good Kid, M.a.a.d. City, and a collaborative Black Hippy album featuring all four members of the collective – Lamar, Schoolboy QJay Rock and Ab-Soul. Earlier this month the group’s newest recruit, singer SZA, released her debut album Z – read FACT’s review.
