Moby directs the video for David Lynch's 'The Big Dream' — and it's not bad

The veteran producer takes a few cues from the legendary director (and sometime-musician).

David Lynch and Moby seem like a strange pairing, but they’ve traded remixes in the past. This time around, Moby remixed the title track to Lynch’s most recent album, enlisting frequent collaborator Mindy Jones in the Julee Cruise / breathy ingenue role.

Not only did he remix the song, but he also directed a video for it. Taking more than a few cues from Lynch’s trademark style, the clip is dreamlike, awash in smoke and strobes, with an unnerving dance behind a transfixed Jones.

Watch the video below. The remix appeared on a Record Store Day release alongside efforts by Hot Since 82, Bastille, Bjorn Yttling and Venetian Snares.
