Stream Brian Eno and Karl Hyde's new album Someday World

Old hands try a melodic and maximalist new direction.

Someday World is the debut collaborative album from ambient pioneer and oblique strategist Brian Eno and electronic music veteran and one half of Underworld, Karl Hyde.

The first track we heard from the album was ‘The Satellites’, an unexpectedly direct and melodic number with vocals to the fore (leaving FACT Singles Club reviewers scratching their heads), followed by ‘Daddy’s Car’.

The pair previously collaborated on Underworld’s 2011 track ‘Beebop Hurry’, and Eno remixed Hyde’s ‘Slummin’ it for the Weekend’ last year, but this is their first full-length effort.

Stream the whole shebang over at NPR ahead of its release on May 6 through Warp.
