Kid Cudi proves yet again that he’s hip-hop’s jack of all trades.

After turning his hand to indie rock (with last year’s awkward Indicud) and establishing himself as a ‘proper’ actor, it seems as if Scott Mescudi is bridging the gap with his latest move into soundtrack work.

Mescudi has revealed that he’s scoring James White, a brand new movie from Borderline Films, the indie trio who put together acclaimed thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene among others. He’s also starring in the film, along with Girls’ Christopher Abbott, Sex and the City’s Cynthia Nixon and Office Space’s Ron Livingston, and it’ll be the second time (Need for Speed being the first) he’s hit the big screen.

There’s little to no information on what Cudi’s score might sound like, but you can check out more information on the film itself buy checking out the informative Kickstarter video below. [via Exclaim]
