Gucci Mane‘s ongoing struggle with the law is the stuff of legend at this point, and it doesn’t appear to be coming to a close any time soon. He’s been banged up since police arrested him with a loaded handgun and some weed last year, and it looks as if he’s going to stay inside for some time yet.

According to TMZ, Gucci has struck a plea bargain today to reduce his sentence. Possession of a gun while a convicted felon carries a whopping ten year sentence, so Gucci has now pleaded guilty to have the term reduced to a more manageable 39 months. Considering he’s already served 10 months, he could be looking to get out at the end of 2016, providing all goes well.

On top of the jail time, Gucci is expected to be slapped with a $250,000 dollar fine, so maybe now’s the time to head over to iTunes and grab a few NoDJ versions of his (excellent) run of tapes.
