Kutmah's IZWID label to release Al Dobson Jr.'s "cosmic, soul-infused" new album

South London newcomer Al Dobson Jr. doesn’t hang about.

After inaugurating Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section International label with the Rye Lane Volume One collection and appearing on a split release with Tenderlonius on 22a, the younger Dobson has lined up a 15-track album on IZWID, the imprint launched last year by Brainfeeder affiliate and DJ genius Kutmah.

Sounds from the Village Vol. 1 is alternates between “cosmic vocal rips and a myriad of loose, soul-infused beat tape-style sketches” with “digital flourishes”, according to the label. Kutmah has taken care of the cover art, which will be hand-printed on a chipboard jacket by LA art collective HIT+RUN.
