South London shop set to open its doors next month.

Peckham’s brand new record outlet Rye Wax has announced a launch party on June 28 ahead of its grand opening on July 1.

The free day-to-night event in the Bussey Building Basement will feature DJ sets from some of London’s finest underground labels and clubs, including Tief’s Matt Hessleworth, Marcus Scott repping Hyperdub and Rekordah from the Astro:Dynamics imprint.

Punters will be able to check out the shop’s selection of brand new house, techno, disco, garage, afro and soul as well as its second-hand shelves and goodies like graphic novels, books, T-shirts and prints. The party runs from midday ‘til late with a bar and café on hand, plus (weather permitting) a Brazilian style BBQ in the courtyard.

After the launch event, Rye Wax opens officially on July 1, with a series of in-store events planned for opening week. Check out the DJ line-up below and head to the shop’s Facebook for more information.
