Untold and Blawan to perform live at London Modular Revue

The Modular Alliance advance to their second showcase.

London’s first dedicated modular synth showroom opened its doors late last year in Hackney, offering a range of analogue kit for fanatical tinkerers from full modular units to accessories and components.

The owners of  London Modular marked the opening with a “modular revue” of all-analogue live performances, and now comes the second showcase, this time headlined by two of UK techno’s leading lights, Blawan and Untold.

With no DJing, no sampling and no computers allowed, they and fellow members of the London Modular Alliance, including electro and techno producer DeFeKT, will crank out their improvisations in two parts.

Proceedings begin with each act given free reign for 20 minutes to create a unique patch before passing it on to the next contender. The second half will see all the acts collaborating in a group jam, with one oscillator providing a single clock source which feeds each artist’s drums, sequences and control voltages.

Presented in collaboration with Bloc, the night takes place at Autumn Street Studios in Hackney Wick on June 13 – grab tickets here via RA.
