MUTEK Mexico 2014 announces first wave of acts

MUTEK have announced the first round of acts playing in Mexico City this October.

Now in its 11th year, the Mexican offshoot of Montreal’s major electronic event has booked a panoply of FACT-approved faces, including Modern Love’s Andy Stott, cosmic selector Daniel Avery and digital frontiersman Oneohtrix Point Never, who’ll appear with CGI collaborator Nate Boyce.

Also named to play are Ben Frost, Jon Hopkins, Max Cooper, Kangding RayPantha Du Prince & The Bell Laboratory (pictured), Axel BomanLawrence and more. There’s one Mexican act on there so far – Siete Catorce.

More will be added in the months leading up to the festival, which takes place from October 20 to 26. MUTEK have also made a trailer to get you in the mood, so watch that below and keep an eye on their site for more details.

FACT descended on MUTEK in Montreal last month to get up close and personal with Lee Bannon, Holly Herndon, Pinch and tons more – watch the interviews on FACT TV.
