Rejecting their peers’ fascination with imported styles, Fukuoka’s Sukebe collective are on a mission to revive and recycle vintage Japanese sounds. This time round the result is a pair of billowing disco stompers topped with cooing Nippon vocals.

Slow-burn tropical funk, retro pop and moody sunset grooves all appear on this EP from Mondo, an Italian imprint that puts out tracks inspired by library music. Todd Terje fans should find something they enjoy.
