The Hudson Valley’s Cayman “Tallesen” Johnson joins his audio and visual practices on his first, comprehensive body of work.

Daniel Lopatin’s Software imprint has had a busy 2014, releasing music by Slava, Sculpture, Thug Entrancer and Napolian, and signing buzzy Baton Rouge producer Suicideyear.

Joining that list is Tallesen, who describes his debut album Stills Lit Through as a response to the “continuous flexibility of the physical setting by the additive of sound.” Also a visual artist, Johnson paints watercolor melodies reminiscent of Autechre and Brian Eno, and press materials describe Stills as an exploration of his “enigmatic, sensual world-building music.”

Stills Lit Through is available October 7 via Software on LP, CD and digital formats. Watch the video for lead track ‘Strike Silver, Love Green’ below; the album’s cover art and tracklist follow.
