Henry Stone, co-founder of TK Records, died last week (August 7) of natural causes.

Although he was best known for his work with TK, Stone had a hand in various labels, recording studios production companies, and is credited as instrumental in the careers of James Brown, Ray Charles (who he worked with as far back as the late ’40s) and KC & the Sunshine Band, whose Harry Wayne ‘KC’ Casey credits Stone as his “mentor”. He was 93 [via Billboard].
