Huxley announces full details of debut album Blurred

Huxley has announced full details of Blurred, his debut album.

Huxley has been releasing singles since 2009, ranging from deep house (his collaborations with Ethyl on labels like Cecille and Tsuba) to slamming 4×4 garage (2011’s ‘Shower Scene’). The last two years have seen him graduate to more of a festival-friendly house sound on labels like Aus and Hypercolour, and it’s the former who’ll be releasing Blurred.

“I think there’s definite blurred lines between pop, house, garage, techno, dubstep and breakbeat throughout most of my music, not just on this LP”, says Huxley of the album. “I wrote loads of music that I thought would be good for an album but just didn’t have that edge I wanted, or it was too similar to what I’d done before. I wanted to make this album stand apart, if only a little, from some of my EP music.”

Blurred will be released on October 20, with a preceding single ‘Give 2 U’, featuring FEMME, out on October 4. He’ll be launching the album at Fabric on October 24.
