Rob Ford EP Broken Social Scene

Rob Ford‘s former assistant has recorded an EP based on his “interesting” experiences serving the disgraced Toronto mayor.

Brendan Croskerry, who has released music before, collaborated with Broken Social Scene producer Dave Newfeld on the EP, titled Live from City Hall.

“As most of you know between 2013 and 2014, I had the opportunity to work as a Special Assistant to Toronto Mayor, Rob Ford”, explains Croskerry. “It was a very … interesting time.”

As The Guardian points out, upon taking the job Croskerry told The National Post that “The main reason I took the job was that it was a great opportunity to learn about politics. [The job is] a lot of different things. I’m not going to go into specifics but it’s like whatever … You do whatever.” He took the post shortly after Ford’s infamous crack incident.

To announce the EP, Croskerry has released a candid video of Ford beings sung to by a small child in his office shortly after being stripped of his powers in 2013 (he was later re-elected). You can stream it below, and no, you couldn’t make it up.
