XOYO has scored an absolute peach of a line-up for its February 4 party.

The night will be headlined by Loefah and Untold. For our money these guys are two of the best DJs in the UK right now: since launching his Swamp81 imprint Loefah has enjoyed a new lease of life, still repping the head-crushing half-step sounds with which he made his name back in the DMZ days but building his sets more around hard-snapping 130bpm gear, the kind of electro-inflected, ghetto-friendly techno, house and dubstep mutations embodied by Swamp’s consistently game-changing 12″s (Addison Groove’s ‘Footcrab’, Ramadanman’s ‘Work Them’ and Pinch’s ‘Croydon House’, to name but three). Right now no one on the planet can match this Croydon original for selection, low-end power and sheer swagger behind the decks; anyone who caught him destroy our FACT party at XOYO last year will know that we speak the truth.

Untold meanwhile has long been a favourite of ours, responsible for arguably the best ever FACT mix, and with a production and DJ style that has basically reimagined instrumental dancefloor grime for a new generation with lessons learned from house, dubstep, garage and drum ‘n bass minimalism. You know the score.

As if you needed further encouragement, they’ll be supported by Blawan, whose ‘Fram’ 12″ or Hessle Audio last year hit us hard. We expect great things from the young producer in the year ahead, and this is a great opportunity to catch him peddle his wares before he blows up.

With support still to be announced, tickets are only £6 and are available here. The night runs 10pm-3am at XOYO, Cowper St, London.
