Carly Rae Jepsen is in the studio with Dev Hynes and Ariel Rechtshaid

‘Call Me Maybe’ popstrel taps indie producers du jour.

Carly Rae Jepsen has been in the studio with Dev Hynes, the London-via-NYC songwriter and producer, and Ariel Rechtshaid, the LA dude behind hit records by Vampire Weekend, Usher and Haim. “Recorded one of my fav songs today with – @devhynes and @arielrechtshaid,” Jepsen wrote on Instagram.

The collaboration is a good look for the pop singer – since her huge success with tween anthem ‘Call Me Maybe’, she’s no doubt been busy working out how to transition to a more mature sound, and it’s a process that both Hynes and Rechtshaid are familiar with from their work with Sky Ferreira.

FACT pinned down Rechtshaid a while back to find out more about his golden touch and his journey from skate rat to super-producer – read the interview. [via Brooklyn Vegan]
