Tessela teams up with Shangaan electro star Nozinja for 12" on Bleep – hear clips

Try two flavours of ‘Wa Chacha’.

We’ve been seeing great things from Shangaan electro originator Nozinja since the South African artist signed to Warp, and his latest project is no different. The producer also known as Dog has teamed up with R&S racket-maker Tessela for a split 12″ on Bleep to be released next month.

As the label explains it, Tessela met up with Nozinja in a East London pub for a quick pint last year and “they got on like a house on fire, swapping production techniques and notes from their drastically different approach to making electronic music”, so they headed to Tessela’s studio for an impromptu recording session. The resulting tracks are the result of that collaboration – two different takes on Nozinja’s song ‘Wa Chacha’.

Hear clips below (Nozinja’s version plays first) and grab it on 12″ and digital via Bleep on February 9. The artwork is by photographer Shaun Bloodworth, whose work also covers Rinse’s mix series, and design is by his close affiliates GiveUpArt.
