Welcome to FACT’s newest feature: the weekly video round-up.

As we note at the end of every year, music videos have never been better. But too often, music videos — along with documentaries, live sets and interview clips — get lost in the shuffle of news and new music.

With that in mind, FACT is doing what it does for mixes, mixtapes, vinyl and more: rounding up the internet’s best videos on a weekly basis. And to remove our bias, we won’t be including our own content — you’ll have to stay tuned to FACT TV for all your Against The Clock, FACT Freestyle and Big Narstie needs.

FKA TWIGS
‘Pendulum’
Dir: FKA twigs & Paula Harrowing

The artist behind the most striking and memorable videos of the last few years returns with another stunner. Combining bondage and acrobatics, Twigs sings a torch song while bound by her hair, above a pool of digital liquid metal. Here’s hoping every song on LP1 receives a video treatment.

FLYING LOTUS
‘Coronus, The Terminator’
Dir: Young Replicant

Flying Lotus and director Young Replicant continue the exploration of death, family and the afterlife begun on the producer’s You’re Dead! with the cinematic clip for the moving ‘Coronus, The Terminator’.

TSVI
‘Malfunction’
Dir: Matteo Zamagni

TSVI’s B.YRSLF club construction ‘Malfunction’ receives a video that extrapolates the track’s “integrating new DNA profile” vocal loop. Cellular mutation, deep space exploration, old school operating systems and fractal fantasies, all through a filter reminiscent of Super 8.

YOUNG THUG, FREDDIE GIBBS & A$AP FERG
‘Old English’
Dir: RUFFMERCY

One of our favorite 2014 rap collaborations finally received a video. It must be tough to get Thugger, Gibbs and Ferg in the same room these days; thankfully, RUFFMERCY’s Basquiat-inspired animated clip brings the Salva and Nick Hook co-production to life.

A-TRAK feat. ANDREW WYATT
‘Push’
Dir: Ramon Ayala

The NSFW video for Fool’s Gold’s latest dancefloor anthem recreates opulence and decadence on its own terms. Atlanta rap producer TM88, a cast of models and a tiger party until the morning, recreating The Last Supper as A-Trak looks on. Eyes Wide Shut for the EDM generation.

WEYES BLOOD
‘Bad Magic’
Dir: Joey Frank

One new technique that we’re increasingly seeing in the world of music videos is the use of drones, leading to the kind of aerial and tracking shots unseen since the million-dollar MTV era. In the clip for Weyes Blood’s moody ‘Bad Magic’, the drone even becomes part of the narrative, with Natalie Mering releasing it like a dove.

VESSEL & IMMIX ENSEMBLE
Tate Britain performance

Tri Angle and Young Echo producer Vessel recently performed at the Tate Britain, adding violin and saxophone from the Immix Ensemble with visuals from multidisciplinary artist Sam Wiehl. The conceptual piece explores the evolution of instruments and technology; wish we could have seen this one live.

JEREMIH feat. FRENCH MONTANA & TY DOLLA SIGN
‘Don’t Tell Em’ (Remix)
Dir: Eif Rivera

Only eight months after dropping the smash single, Jeremih finally has a video for ‘Don’t Tell Em’. Even though it’s for the French Montana and Ty Dolla Sign-assisted remix (rather than for this) and heavy with the typical mansion-model-Beats visuals, it gives us hope that Jeremih and Def Jam are getting their shit together.

KEITH APE feat. JAYALLDAY, LOOTA, OKASIAN, KOHH
‘잊지마 (It G Ma)’
Dir: keith Ape, Jan’Qui, Art Dealer

Need proof of Atlanta’s influence on rap? Look no further than this video, which sees a crew of Korean and Japanese rappers appropriating the sound and aesthetic of OG Maco and Awful Records. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; we’ll save the thinkpieces for others.

2 CHAINZ & NANCY GRACE
#Pot2Blame?

A must-watch: Headline News hysteric Nancy Grace revives Reefer Madness for 2015 and 2 Chainz presents very sensible arguments for marijuana legalization and criminal justice reform. Bravo to 2 Chainz for keeping his cool while Grace loses her mind, shouting “Tity Boi” and “big fat doobie” with a crusader’s zeal.
