The ambitious producer fires off a haunting club deconstruction.

As a member of the Janus collective (the Berlin party-slash-label also home to Lotic and M.E.S.H.), the producer born Kajsa Blom exemplifies her team’s typically bold approach to production, layering club-standard kicks and claps over gloomy atmospherics and all manner of digital and orchestral ephemera, as heard on the stunning ‘Priere’.

After we picked her as one of FACT’s club producers to watch in 2015, KABLAM has now unveiled her latest creation, ‘Close(d)’. The downbeat track comes with a video by PWR STUDIO, who’ve pieced together a selection of strangely intense close-up shots of female archers as they prepare to shoot their arrows. Check out the video above and see more from PWR Studio on their website.

Keep an eye on KABLAM’s Soundcloud for more eccentric mixes and out-there creations, and for more on the Janus crew try a FACT mix from M.E.S.H. and read FACT’s interview with Lotic, who just dropped his own new track, ‘Heterocetera’.

KABLAM is also playing Berlin’s Panorama Bar tonight (January 29) as part of CTM, so if you’re in town, you know where to go.
