Representatives from the UK’s independent label illuminati descend on Peckham this Saturday with vinyl in tow.

Last November, the people behind the excellent St John Sessions gigs in Hackney travelled to Peckham, giving London’s vinyl fans a chance to buy records from a host of small labels. Representatives from Warp, PAN, Diagonal and more descended on the Peckham Pelican café to chat, pose for pictures and sell records, all with food and drink close to hand.

The first event proved so popular that the organisers have decided to do it all over again with a whole new set of labels, taking place at the Peckham Pelican again this Saturday February 7 between 12 and 7pm. Labels in attendance include UK stalwart Ninja Tune, who will be bringing along records from close allies Brainfeeder, Werkdiscs and Big Dada, Fabric’s Houndstooth imprint, Nonplus, Exit Records, Alter Records, No Corner, Lex Records, Blank Mind and Brownswood.

The organisers promise DJ performances throughout the day, and some of the labels will be bringing represses of sought-after records and exclusives for purchase before they hit the shops. Full details can be found at the Facebook event page.

The Independent Label Fair isn’t the only place to buy vinyl in Peckham, which is becoming something of a go-to place for those in search of the wax. Last year saw the opening of Rye Wax, YAM Records and Do!! You!!!, the latter of which we sent FACT’s Arianna Power to take some snaps of.
