Kanye West let an aspiring rapper freestyle for him in the street this weekend, and may have left with a new assistant. 

After West and Justin Bieber were leaving Big Sean’s show at Los Angeles’ House of Blues, Cameron Grey got Kanye’s attention on the street. Although at first security tried to keep him away, West told security to step down and let Grey rap for him (and Bieber, who remained more distant but did yell “spit more bars” at some point).

West was clearly taken by Grey, and got his contact details after asking if he was prepared to start at the bottom, “as an assistant”. The video is up on TMZ, and it’s really sweet – watch it below.
