The internet provides.

It’s not often we bring you home furnishings on FACT, but this wooden sculpture of the Amen break waveform demands your attention.

The junglist artwork, which uses laser-cut slices of birch to mark out the pattern of history’s most famous drum break, was created by Colin Hendee of Austin, Texas, and is currently available to buy from his Etsy page. You can even choose your own wood.

As Hendee explained on Facebook, each chunk of wood equals a specific number of milliseconds (“It’s all broken down in 8s and 16s”).

Have a closer look below and hear the ‘Amen Break’ underneath.
