Two rising talents from the West Coast hip hop label have got together.

Stones Throw artists Anderson.Paak and Knxwledge have united as NxWorries for a project that kicks off with new single ‘Suede’.

Anderson.Paak, who’s also recorded as Breezy Lovejoy, is a vocalist, songwriter and producer who’s just put out a solo album, Venice, on the label, and contributed beats to Watsky’s 2014 album All You Can Do. He foregrounds the collaboration with New Jersey-bred DJ and producer Knxwledge, who’s currently working on a solo album for Stones Throw after bowling them over with an avalanche of material on Bandcamp, some of which was compiled on a chunky 53-track double cassette for Leaving Records a couple of years ago. (He also has a neat line in hip hop mixes.)

On ‘Suede’, Knxwledge’s lazily laidback beat is a calming counterpart to Anderson.Paak’s hyperactive half-song, half-rap – check it out below and catch them at The Roxy in LA on February 15.

Meanwhile, catch up with label boss Peanut Butter Wolf’s ace one-hour mix on Radio 1 last week.
