The low-profile festival secures a huge headliner.

Björk has been named to headline this year’s Wilderness Festival, which takes place in the leafy environs of Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire from August 6-9. It’s the first UK date she’s announced in support of her new record, Vulnicura.

The returning queen of electronic pop leads a line-up that also features George Clinton, Parliament & Funkadelic performing Return to the Mothership, plus Roisin Murphy, Nick Mulvey, Nils Frahm, Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble and Hercules & Love Affair.

Wilderness is one of the more unusual offerings on the British festival calendar, offering an organic cookery school, family activities, a circus and stages including The Juke Joint, The Candlelight Club and The Carousel Stage, operated by Glastonbury mischief makers Shangri La.
