The composer will revisit his previous works over a string of live performances this spring.

Neoclassical composer Max Richter will embark on a brief tour of the US this spring to perform a few of his previous works live. It makes for a rare opportunity considering Richter has never performed live in the US outside of New York.

The performances include works from The Leftovers, Memoryhouse, Songs From Before, Vivaldi Recomposed, and the seminal The Blue Notebooks (one of the 20 best albums of the 2000s by our count). Richter will perform for each date with the American Contemporary Music Ensemble except for his final performance at the Big Ears Festival where he will be joined by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and soloist Yuki Numata.

In addition to the performances, Richter’s will release a deluxe reissue of Blue Notebooks on March 2 via Deutsche Grammophon. Look for his tour dates below.
