The update is free for current users of the software.

Ableton has just released version 9.2 of its flagship Live software. The update is currently available as a public beta.

According to Ableton, users can expect improved warping capabilities, particularly in the Complex and Complex Pro modes, where users will find “punchier transients”. Some issues with latency have also been addressed.

The latest update also includes some tweaks related to Ableton’s Push controller. The controller’s pads now have an aftertouch, the touch strip can now operate as a mod wheel and users can now utilise all 64 pads for drumming. There is also a new tuner device. The Push-specific tweaks in the latest update can be seen in the video below.
