The Australian producer mixes things up on one of the label’s most unique records to date.

Based in Sydney, Cassius Select isn’t hugely well known outside his home turf, but his next release looks set to change that. Having recently appeared on the Plastic World label on a split 12″ with fellow Aussie Tuff Sherm, Cassisus Select will soon be delivering his most high profile release to date, a solo 12″ for Unknown To The Unknown.

Combining hardcore, garage and even a touch of footwork into his productions, Cassius Select’s music defies genre categorisation in all the right ways. His unstable cocktail of beats and bass also seem to be the inspiration behind the Mattematrix and Dennis Vera’s video for lead track ‘He Ain’t Worth’. It features dancer Ylva Falk, who does a fine job of interpreting Cassius Select’s impossible rhythms while being attacked on all sides by alien frequencies, 3D-rendered in typically bright UTTU style.

You can watch the video below, and buy the four-track EP when it’s released on 12″ and digital formats in March.
