Wiley has signed a deal with Island Records, home to Dizzee Rascal, PJ Harvey and – amazingly – his arch nemeses Rizzle Kicks.

The paperwork was sorted earlier today, according to a photo posted by the grime don’s manager on Twitter.

Wiley added the short message “#BBK/ISLAND RECS. #LetsGo”, but despite initial speculation that the deal might include the wider Boy Better Know clan, including JME and man-of-the-moment Skepta, FACT has been informed that the deal is for a solo single on the label.

The move may also signal an end to Wiley’s longstanding relationship with Big Dada, home to last year’s Snakes & Ladders and several other albums from his decade-plus career.
