One of the most iconic analog synths of all time is reborn for Live.

If you want to recreate the sound of the iconic Korg MS-20 synthesizer but don’t have the money for an MS-20 mini, then you could be in luck. Cluster Sound has just released a free Ableton Live Pack filled with samples based on the famous instrument.

Based on the second generation of the analog synthesizer released in 1978, the pack is based on 28 multi-sample recordings sampled from several VCO, VCF and ring modulator settings. You’ll need to be an owner of Live 9 to use the pack, but the looped samples come packed into 46 instrument racks with dedicated controls and 48 sampler devices for ease of customization.

You can grab it from the Cluster Sound website, or read about the MS-20 in our list of the 14 synthesizers that shaped modern music. [vis Synthtopia]
