It’s hard to think of how to follow an album as overwhelmingly powerful as Sun Kil Moon‘s Benji, our pick for Album Of The Year in 2014, but Mark Kozelek has already done it. Beginning by releasing the ‘Possum‘, Kozelek has gradually released new details about the album Universal Themes. Now his next single, ‘Ali/Spinks 2’, throws another curveball by opening with an electric guitar. Kozelek takes full advantage of the instrument during the song which hits a feedback-filled solo at the center. [via Pitchfork]
